Powerless as nature

The winds, they longed to tell you of their love,

yet only managed whispers by your side;

just as I wished to say that winds don't change,

but you, with a sigh, told me winds aren't alive.

The floods, they longed to bathe you in their streams,

and with the water's coolness, quench your thirst;

just as I offered you my life, still pure,

and with blank eyes, you sighed that water feels numb.

The fires, they longed to embrace you in the night,

and with their love adorned your heart with sparks;

just as, when I met you, I lit the flame,

and the fire turned into ashes of sorrow.
